You haven't produced anything significant since then and that is a point without contestation. Why don't you mention kieth atherton, sylvester joseph, kerry jeremy, rawle lewis, devon smith etc eh? Which brings me back to my main point about the management of cricket in the west indies
Richards and co had a finishing school homes. county cricket. Some players don't need a finishing school away. Either the level of competition is so high that their finishing school is/was available in the WI or they were so outrageously gifted that they didn't need one. Lara came into regional cricket in the late 80s and would have faced the likes of ambrose, marshall, patterson, garner etc. So anything he faced in county cricket would have been at the same level or lower. no need to go to county cricket, so by the time he debuted, he was the finished article. Sobers was so outrageously gifted he didn't need county cricket. Richards on the other hand got a bad grade from Alf Gower's cricketing school. In fact they thought he didn't have a serious future in the game. Well of course we know what happened. Viv became the best batsman in the history of the game but that wouldn't have happened without county cricket.
Keiran powell came into a cricketing culture where management did not deem a finishing school necessary. All they wanted was a captain that could be duped and controlled. Sammy and Holder are perfect examples. Both did not command regular places on the team but were appointed captains. But beyond that, everybody around Powell was failing, darren bravo, chanderpaul and gayle, the few times he played with him, were the only reasonably successful players averaging over 40 at the time. So that is one player who averaged over 40 for an extended period, of those who debuted after 2010(bravo from 2013-2019). If every batsman who has donned WI colors since that time cannot get their and keep their average above 40 for an extended period, then that is a systemic issue. That WI cricket has not come close to resolving it is strictly a management issue. And it comes from technical chinks, poor management and violent upheavals in the team. Every year, in CXC, more than half the entrants fail mathematics and english. By your logic, that means either more than half the west indians writing CSEC are either dumb or not trying hard enough which is totally absurd reasoning
You better get used to it as we will be around for a while. The problem with you all from the bigger islands you all feel a sense of entitlement like WI cricket is yours alone. It's all a we! Look how you all shut us out all those years until Worrell made that stand only to see the emergence of legends like Richards, Roberts, Ambrose, Richie etc.
