That’s the type of simplistic argument that conservatives rail against. I doubt any conservatives are against lgbtq+ persons individually. The concern is about the push to normalise it - the shoving it down our throat argument. The issue isn’t about consenting adults or people living life as they wish, but how all of society is pressured to embrace the lifestyles, especially wrt kids without permission or context from parents.
This is so far from the truth I was struggling on where to start.
I doubt any conservatives are against lgbtq+ persons individually.
So I will take this route:
1. Trump signs executive orders proclaiming there are only two biological sexes, halting diversity programs
What you started with is the exact opposite of what is actually happening. LGBTQ+ people are here saying this is who I am while there are several people (not only conservatives) who are telling them they cannot be that. That is fundamentally having a problem with an individual. They are not shoving it down people's throats. I see the Social Media skits. I watched
Dave Chappelle's skit on Jim Carey. I could go on and on but I will move on.
The issue isn’t about consenting adults or people living life as they wish, but how all of society is pressured to embrace the lifestyles, especially wrt kids without permission or context from parents.
Society finds itself in a rock and a hard place in the classroom. Why is it okay to teach children about reproduction, marriage and divorce? Isn't homosexuality something as well that exists in the animal kingdom? But I get it; tell a boy that gays exist and you are grooming him.
The issue with trans persons using female bathrooms is that it leaves it open to abuse by those who don’t have actual transgender identities.
What? Is this a thought through comment? You do not want persons to abuse being in a female bathroom? Who are those persons? Men pretending to be women so they can peep at women peeing? And this is a transgender issue?
I dunno what to tell you. There is a high level of intolerance towards the alphabet people and it comes from certain places. Weren't you the one who made the observation that culturally Caribbean people have more in common with conservatives than liberals?
