The key word that you described Campbell was astute which means that he has the ability to understand situations clearly, have a high level of intelligence that allowed him to think on his feet, and to make sound decisions under pressure.

Of the 7 captains who engaged Campbell during the 7 series of cricket you did not zeroed in on any of them to form an opinion of their captaincy, only Campell's.

I can opine on your postings and interpret as I see, likewise, you have the right to express and defend your position even in a rum shop setup.

Lastly, I have only watched a limited amount of cricket during this season and cannot comment on any captain performance in becoming the new captain.

If I had to pick, I would go with Imlach or DaSilva since they had good results in the regionals as leaders of their respective teams. I agree with you that whosever becomes captain, we are in big trouble when the fearless Aussies arrive.

As he did with his bowling changes and field settings.

Affirmative and rather than respect the fact that I refrained from commenting on what I didn't study you go down the pharochial road. Simplistic and ridiculous i'd say.

If I had to pick, I would go with Imlach or DaSilva since they had good results in the regionals as leaders of their respective teams.

Faz seh its a bundle of nonsense they doing...

According to him the choice should be between DaSilva and Imlach.

When the question of similarity when Clive Lloyd was selected, Faz saying Clive was the obvious choice as there was no one else with the experience.

Faz seems to forget about Deryck Murray who had a much experience with the test side as Clive. While history proved that Clive was the correct choice, his contention that there was no one else besides Clive is incorrect. At that time quite a few people were upset that Murray was not given the captaincy.

David Holford was also strongly considered.

This must be the “lowest ebb” in the history of WI cricket for some of the aforementioned names to be interviewed for WI Test captaincy.

He had Mckenzie and Blackwood. Not even Lloyd could win with that.

Never sacrifice your best budding players... with no core test group....team in absolute flux..... against toughest tours... Australia in Caribbean...last time West Indies beat Australia 20 years back.... India in India,..29 years back.....N.Z. in N.Z. ... some 35 years back....
My Choice....

Roston Chase.... nothing to lose....a core team group can be built in these three series..... with allowing both Silva & Imlach to perform....if things goes accordingly, Chase be replaced by Silva or Imlach....

I hope CWI don’t select no Drug convict, as test captian, he deserves a second chance, not Captain.
