These guys really do not know how to bat....to build an innings of note.
They still have that T20 mentality where you really do not have to think to play an innings. Just throw ball at bat and hope something connects.
It is pitiful that after all these years we have not had a Gomes or Chanderpaul batter in the test lineup.
Athanaze is probably the only one close to that, although not close enough.
However he is on teh outside looking in....

You could hear Greg Blewett almost feeling sorry and dismay at the approach - almost as if he is begging the WI batsmen to show competency at this level

We down to 250 now albeit for the loss of Brathwaite.
I like the approach by Carty to play balls on merit and take the simple singles.
Anytime I see Campbell facing, I am not too confident though but I am hoping he could somehow hold out till stumps.
