'Health Tracking' devices a coming

RFK Jr. wants every American to wear 'health tracking' device by 2029


Wonder whether it'll bear any resemblance to those chips implants that Bill Gates was accused of advocating in the recent past. Whatever form it takes, however, it might be accepted this time around because of the source's political leaning.

Fi real especially knowing that if insurance companies got access it'd impact your policy costs.

There are millions of people who track their Health by means of such devices.

They are very good way of keeping up with your health.

I do not understand why anyone would be worried.

"why would you want the Government to track you".....they already track you! You already carry a device that tracks you.

Medical privacy....ok. But most people who care about medical privacy do so because they want to hold on to something they have no business doing.

I would welcome a device from the Government that allows me to track my health....then i don't have to waste time going to a Dr office just to check my pressure etc.

I can recall this woman ranting against ObamaCare, but when asked what kind of Heatlh Care she has access to, she promptly (and proudly) replied that it was the Affordable Care Act.

Can you recall at one point there was an initiative to 'monitor one's thoughts' (sorry if I haven't expressed it correctly)? I think it was during GWBush administration, and he flatly rejected it.

This proposed nationwide monitoring would serve as a gateway to the reintroduction of the thought monitoring idea. That's the worry.

A curious state of affairs when the most reasonable and measured political commentary on the site is coming from a Jehovah's Witness. Well played, that man!

It sounds like RFK is proposing public subsidies for personal health monitors (trackers sounds so Orwellian). The Peanut Gallery should be cheering.

I recall when President Obama dared to suggest that all school children should aspire to higher education. The Republicans and their red neck voters went ape shit accusing him of being a commie dictator.

And yet those same ignorant cretins are now jumping up and down at the thought of the big bad govment tracking their personal health and who knows what else just because their Orange Dotard told them "it's good for you".

You think promote wearing a government health tracking device as reasonable measured political commentary? Or is it that nobody want to really debate the numerous personal and perhaps constitutional violations that entails.

What they really want is for people to stop going to doctors in an effort to reduce and eventually eliminate vaccinations.

All those preventable diseases which were virtually eradicated by vaccinations in the Dumbfcukinstan will soon be making a grand comeback.

If the gov. wants to provide healthcare for all, then they can propose such devices, but what the point of tracking a person who can't afford a doctor?

That's exactly what's going on and not only to eliminate vaccinations but to declare people uninsurable because of pre conditions. Its one way to drop a whole bunch of people off insurance or to jack up premiums out of reach of the average individual.
Not to mention Kennedy probably have shares in the company who will be making the devices and Musk salivating over the data.

These health monitors are not to be government operated or controlled. RFK evidently wants to extend the usage of the fitness trackers and smartwatches already commercially available. As Ayenmol alluded to, if the NSA, FBI, etc. really wanted to institute a comprehensive surveillance system, they would simply piggyback on the mobile phones carried by 95% of the American adult population. What the heart rate or step count of 300 million adults would add to the mix is beyond my ken.

Many people pay huge money for these tracking devices. And all of the ones i know, have become better aware of their health and bodies because of the knowledge gained through such monitoring.
