Brendan King a relatively inexperienced test batsman who usually plays the shorter version and was drafted into the test team, continues to demonstrate his adaptability by helping West Indies with 75 valuable runs. With wickets of more experienced test players falling around him, he played a superb innings laced with 8 fours and 3 sixes, against one of the best bowling team in the world. If he could maintain his concentration and consistency and prove the naysayers wrong, this would strengthen West Indies batting.

I noticed that the usual insular suspects like LBW375 were quick to talk about the player’s deficiencies and not the fact that the man put runs on the board for West Indies when other more popular and experienced players were failing all day. When the reality is that all West Indies batsmen are plagued with deficiencies, we know that insularity and bad mind will continue to destroy WI cricket.

Insular?

You don't have a fcuken clue

I've been following Jamaican and West Indies cricket since 1985. I've had drinks with Michael Holding at Peppers, I've supported Marlon Tucker, Tamar Lambert and company for years. I saw Jimmy Adams and Chris Gayle live when they debuted for Jamaica. I've met many on cc.com like Chrissy and Michmac at Sabina Park, just hold your insular rasshole corner.

Discussing a batsman weaknesses and urging improvement doesn't make one a hater you fcuctard.

You are nothing more than a one note braying jackass on cc.com. all you do is call for more Jamaicans, on and on and on.

Nothing else of substance

Almost as useless as Bolls posting

You Yardies all over the place just because your two countrymen representatives on the team provided the top scores (75 and 40) in the WI 1st innings.

I want more homies in the team, you don't hear me whining on and on about it. No one has supported Yardie players than me and buds (of Don Facting Pagon fame) lol

I've always said batsmen making their debut in the test team should be averaging 40 at FC level. (Chrissy coined the phrase 20 and 30 sinting average). Unfortunately no one seems to be averaging 40, next best are those averaging mid 30s up, I wholeheartedly supported King making his debut before now, some tried over the past 2 or so years did not have better records that him.

King finally made himself available and was chosen. Top scored in this innings and I'm happy, would bust a gut if he had scored 100+

I hope he continues to improve, I hope he works on his weaknesses and I wish him the best

What you won't see me do is call for a player just because I want more homies in the team. I want good homies in the team

So why not just be happy for the player? Why is he your only player with regard to deficiencies when all players have there own respective deficiencies??

You should know as Yardies we are not afraid to take on anyone! I have been battling the entire Dottie’s for a number of years now with their consistent insularities against Yardies, sometimes the only voice but that’s my mission.

I agree with you. People are quick to point out his technical deficiencies but I don’t give a damn about your weaknesses if you are capitalizing on your strengths. That boy is a boundary hitter and he hits them through the offside. All good bowlers focus on bowling on or about off stump…. Well good luck to you if you’re even slightly off line or off length on that off stump to this kid.. if he can average 40-45 who gives a damn about his technique? Is Richard Pant’s technique good? Does anybody care? The man’s making runs and it’s runs that wins you games not technique. Learn this guys… some players hand- eye coordination are that good so they can get away with other technical inefficiencies… see Chris Gayle for example.
Enough said!

With all that you just said though…. What do you think of this particular player? Do you think Brandon King is worthy of a place in this current West Indies set up?

I don't have to defend myself to you. I've advocated for Brandon King for years

Higher FC average than Carty, Greaves, John Campbell, Kavem Hodge. Only one with a close enough FC average is Alick Athanaze

Honestly though bro… I don’t see anything wrong with what the man posted this time re Brandon King. We have to give this fellow a fair run. He’s a boundary hitter and that’s not to be ignored.

Actually, my post will be a psychological boost to our batsmen who did not make runs in the first innings, I am expecting Hope, Kacy, Greaves, etc to score heavily in the 2nd innings.

Unnecessary, I've supported King from the beginning.

I responded to this bootlicker calling me insular

I've been supporting Jamaica and West Indies cricket for decades. I supported Brandon King when he debuted for Jamaica and West Indies.

Kevlon and Imlach should be playing

"My squad" before Chase was made Cappo and Hope made himself available, had Kevlon, Imlach and Athanze in it. DaSilva was dished some serious dirt by Cricket WI

Over the years I learned that one is forced to fight stupid with stupid, otherwise the stupidity of the stupid becomes normalized. For example, criticizing Yardie players is so prevalent among Dottie fans over the years that most are totally oblivious of their insularity, so it becomes my job to consistently point it out. VOR can attest to my various battles defending Gayle, Samuels, Shortman, Ricardo Powell, Jerome Taylor, Rovman Powell, Brendan Nash, Blackwood, and McKenzie, whom they claimed with confidence that he would be the last Yardie to play test cricket for West Indies big grinbig grin
