Jadeja to Crawley, out Caught by Rahul!! Crawley is caught at slip. They're checking for a fair catch, and third umpire confirms that the fingers are underneath the ball. Finally a breakthrough for India! The previous ball was a no-ball and the extra delivery has produced the wicket. Just a hint of turn off a good length for Jadeja, Crawley gets forward to defend, gets the edge and Rahul takes a sharp low catch at slip. Umpires wanted to be sure that the catch was clean, and it surely was. How desperately the visitors needed this.

Crawley c Rahul b Jadeja 84(113) [4s-13 6s-1]

STAT:
India have bowled just five bouncers (>10m) in this innings so far. England bowled 51 of them in the first innings, and got two wickets (Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar - both to Ben Stokes).

Anshul Kamboj to Duckett, out Caught by (sub)Dhruv Jurel!! Huge roar from Kamboj as he picks up his first Test wicket and gives India a big lift. Duckett falls just six runs short of his ton. Back of a length outside off, he looks to cut hard but is surprised by the extra bounce, nicking it through to the keeper. They got rid of Crawley a few overs earlier, and now they've got the other opener as well. Two new batters at the crease now, and it's a window of opportunity for the visitors.

Duckett c (sub)Dhruv Jurel b Anshul Kamboj 94(100) [4s-13]

Day 3: 2nd Session

Washington Sundar to Brook, out Stumped!! What a decision to not take the new ball and persist with Washington. Another batter is floored by his drift. Brook steps out, isn't anywhere close to the pitch and he's completely deceived in the air as well, with the ball curving away before skidding past the outside edge. He's a long way down the pitch when Jurel gathers it cleanly and takes the bails off

95.1
Anshul Kamboj to Root, FOUR, Test century no. 38 for Joseph Edward Root. He's England's run-machine in this format and he's delivering yet again. Not far away from going past Ponting's tally of 13378 runs in Tests either. Has been a calm and calculted knock by Root. Took his time yesterday, played it out watchfully and has showcased his talent today. Has scored against the pacers, has scored against the spinners. The odd deliveries have kept low, he survived a run-out scare too. But all that matters is the present. Brings up the milestone with a gentle glance towards the fine leg fence. Takes off his helmet to celebrate the achievement as the England fans in the stands go "Roooooooot"
