As he needs to focus on his batting. Let Imlach keep in place of one of the bowlers Pierre and then Phillip come in for Layne. Without the two Josephs there is little support for Jayden. Athanaze can bowl some overs to make up for the loss of Pierre. He can do no worse.

Athanaze looked the best of all the batsmen I saw. Did not see Greaves but he had fair returns. The rest of the batsmen have a lot of work to do.

Nothing wrong with your reasoning. But its like putting a 4 inch plaster on a 4 mile fissure. You are delaying the more obvious conclusion that Shallow, Sammy and his management team need to step down. Our cricket is near death's door

We lost 4 tests that we were expected to lose. Quit with the nonsense. The problems were not created by Sammy and Shallow, but at least they are trying to do something about them.

Do what exactly? Man you need more help that first imagined. Your boy Bascombe just got rid of gender and age group formats with no discernable substitutes. Your idol, everything West Indies that he touches absent Marlon Samuels exposes his inadequacies and incompetence. Yet, here you are talking about assistant coaches and now wicketkeeper. Baal is alive in your world.

And now not a single peak but unrelieved futility capped by that 27- fiasco!

But of course this would not bother you as long as a homeboy is at the helm in this eat-a- food climate!!

Come on
You’re asking to make a change to maybe get what…20 or 30 runs more from Hope? Then what, does that change the outcome of any match? A session?

Hope is our most accomplished batsman. If he gets 20 /30 he will more than likely convert. He cannot be in the field for 1.5 days then have to bat at 40/4.

So everyone else is off the field in that 1.5 days?

Relieving the gloves from Hope will not improve his batting performance, he is already a failed test player, unfortunately recycling him will not improve his batting. Remember he started batting as an opener then his fans claimed that he is not properly utilized on the team, he should be batting lower down the batting. The batting change in the line up did not improve his batting, let him concentrate on ODI batting.

i realize dotties does specialize in DPRK type propaganda. firstly its a high your brain dead idol has not come close to replicating. secondly the myth that the wi have done exceptionally poorly is just that a myth. the descent into permanent mediocrity only started when they put that talentless brain dead(Sammy) man as skipper. winning the wisden trophy under the exceptional leadership of Christopher Henry Gayle OD after 11 years was not mediocrity. not losing in NZ for the first time in 13 years under the same captain was not mediocrity. Winning our first and only test in South Africa in2008 under Gayle was not mediocrity. Winning the icc champions trophy in 2004 under the leadership of Brian Charles Lara and reaching the finals of the same tournament two years later was not mediocrity. drawing with the greatest Australian test team ever in 1999 after a wicb induced 5-0 drubbing in SA was not mediocrity. just because a dottie of either the windward or leeward persuasion had no role in all but one of those achievements(Sir Curtly Ambrose being the obvious exception) does not mean it did not happen

MOST OF SHAI HOPE'S TEST MATCHES AS A PLAYER HAVE NOT INCLUDED WICKETKEEPER DUTIES GENIUS. in fact, before this year, he had only been wicketkeeper once in a test, in india in 2019. HIS AVERAGE IN TEST CRICKET NEVER GOT ABOVE 28. Clearly, being wicket keeper is not the issue. Shai Hope, like the rest of this batting lineup, is not a test quality batsman. the only person with some hope is brandon king
