Yet cannot buy a run at Test level. Even Kemar Roach has more runs and a better average. Yet many including a guyanese Poster named Anthonyp suggests we should rely only on regional STATS!

Hope he can explain this?

@voiceofreason

Maybe he is imitating your advocacy for Devon Smith!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

YUH SHOULD STUDY DA SILVA AND MOHAMMED BEING THE # AND #1 RANKED BATSMEN IN THE REGIONAL FOUR DAY AND CANT FIND A PLACE ON SAMNMY'S TEAM. BUT FUH ALLYUH DOTTIES IT WAS NEVER ABOUT PERFORMANCE

@Dukes

Try to obfuscate with the Devon smith retort after you were the one who promoted glovesmanship first and foremost how did that pan-out.

Jahmar Hamilton at home vex;" I only got one test match!".

Earn your selection based on Regionals

Maintain your selection based on performance at internationals

If you were selected and does not produce internationally give someone else a chance who was productive regionally

It is not rocket science but seems to escape the chief selector who is very partial to his homies

Joshua Dasilva is another one! Dominated at R4D and cannot average 30 at Test! You should be shame to mention Josh's name! Predictable.

@pariaman

Imlach and Joshua Da Silva both dominated at regionals!

R4D cannot be the only criteria for selection, that is why he have scouts!

Tevin Imlach was selected to play the 2 test matches in Pakistan for the obvious reason that he is a better wicketkeeper than DaSilva ESPECIALLY up at the wicket to spinners PARTICULARLY when the ball is TURNING SQUARE and your SPINNERS would be bowling the majority of the overs.

What is so difficult to understand???

The only West Indian wicketkeeper to average more than 30 with the bat in the last 40 years was Dujon and he averaged 31.They all averaged between 18 and 25 with Jacobs averaging 28.

The current WI top 6 all average under 30 except Greaves due to his unbeaten 202.Incidentally Greaves has 3 scores in test cricket above 50 and all three are unbeaten.

Hodge comes in for Athanze and the former averages24.63 and the latter 23.68 while DaSilva averages 24.76.

If a WI selector is looking at the batting to determine who his wicketkeeper will be then he is a JACKASS because none of them will ever make enough runs to make up for dropping catches.

joshua da silva scored 75 in the brisbane win after coming for 47-5 on a dodgy pitch against the same attack that cleaned up Sammy's WI for 27 homes

@Dukes

The days of Wicketkeepers averaging under 30 are gone! What about that do you not understand? You keep harping on about glovesman first but if your glovesman cannot even average 15 with the bat which based on your archaic standards is sub-standard.

Dujon is no longer the World Standard! Get over it.

Imlach MUST perform with bat this next match or he has to go back and work on his batting game.

12.70 after 5 matches/10 innings. He is captain of a franchise too so surely he has been earmarked for leadership.

Sat, Dec 13, '25 at 1:18 PM

@voiceofreason

look at all the teams where the keeper averages over 40 and see the average of the top 6

Sat, Dec 13, '25 at 3:51 PM

@pariaman
