Great going, Josh..keep punishing your detractors and those who do not want you in Test team.
Runs and big runs is your tool..whip em.
@dayne
Josh was the second highest run scorer in the fc tournament last year. Jason Mohammed was 1st. They were both ignored and WI finished the home season being bowled out for 27 by the same opposition Da Silva scored 78 against under lights at the Gabba on a dodgy wicket
congrats Joshua Dasilva, I like your persistence, just keep working hard on your craft and you will be rewarded.
Congratulations.
De Silva is a decent batsman and should be rewarded for working on his batting since being dropped.
Time to be brought back in to the West Indies squad.
I would still make Paint dry Kraigg the Skipper with De Silva as the Vice Captain of the Test team. As the Wicket keeper batting at 6 or 7 he would not be upsetting the balance of the team like Chase or Warican.
@imusic
Do you think it’s possible to congratulate a player without insularity and whining???
Anyways congratulations Joshua Da Silva wonderful innings to continue breaking down the door, if you score enough runs it becomes impossible to be ignored!!!
I wonder if JDS can focus more on being a specialist batsman and leave the glove work for someone else. He CAN make the senior side as a pure batsman. For those who know, wicket keeping is a strenuous task on its own especially in a team that has little or no resistance in the top order. Not enough time to put your feet up.
He needs another run for sure.
@Raskil
great idea. josh, as i said earlier is the bet player of pace bowling in the west indies...him, kirk mckenzie and hodge. the showed all showed that at brisbane. there are mulyiple batting spots available and as a west indian wicketkeeper, you know thatyou are only get to bat at #7 in a lineup which is batting with the tail.
@Jumpstart
Batting in that position in the West Indies team does not have you planning in your head a long composed inning…it’s how much can I get before the tail collapse. That’s wasting a potential higher order talent.
These are the conversations selectors and coaches should have with players.
