correct is right.

Another disappointed match... Argentina and Messi are FIFA preferred team to win and are blatantly showing favoritism... F%&king tired of this nonsense.😡

Tue, Jul 7, '26 at 2:48 PM

Nonsense it was a clear foul. He grabbed Martinez shirt and stepped on his foot at the same time. VAR called it immediately even before the goal was scored.

Regarding the buildup to Argentina‘s third goal, there was no need for a VAR review because there was no foul.

@Cricket_101

its ridiculous. The refereeing in the tournament had generally been of a very high standard until matches with these frauds came up. The whole Balogun saga was as a result of the non sending off of Messi for an instant red card infraction, which he wasn’t sent off for. The reasons the American fans were calling Balogun’s red card an injustice is because of the precedent the refs had set earlier in the tournament, which they didn’t follow. My opinion is Argentina didn’t win a World Cup for 36 years and any trophy of any kind for 29 years(no copa America titles between 1992 and 2021) and given that Infantino has said things like he suffered during the Cape Verde match, I don’t think that is coincidence

@CricSham

Ref did not call the foul.

Announcers said there should not have been a VAR review since that does not happen in similar situations when it's down the field like that

This is fixed IMO!

Lots of fouls don't get called by the Refs, and they don't have VAR to review them...that's the point!

Egypt coach Hossam Hassan: "I will say what's on my mind regardless of the consequence, this was clearly a rigged match and the whole world saw it. And I want to say one more thing, if they want Argentina to win so bad, why call everyone to come and participate?"

Tue, Jul 7, '26 at 5:37 PM

More and more people are seeing what many of us saw from early. This is a goodbye gift for Messi. Expect more of this blatant fockery, unless there exists a team that will absolutely destroy VAR-gentina and give Infantino and the corrupt bunch no choice but to retreat.

Anyone who thinks Paraguay would have finished that game with more than 7 or 8 men, if the opponent were VARgentina, I got a bridge to sell you! lol

@ray

Messi can’t even tie Zico or Ronaldinho’s shoes without the referees

Well done. Talk yu talk coach.

@ray

My brother, if you have the opportunity look back at the incidents. In the media center, we get to see exactly the what, how, and why of VAR. Yes at first glance one might be tempted to think differently but when you analyze it, and that’s the beauty of the technology, you can clearly see. The apparent foul on Salah was boot to boot unlike the foul on Martinez, where the Egyptian defender stepped on his foot while pulling his shirt. Both decisions were correct.
