Is test cricket too burdensome for Mr A. Joseph?

This discouteous inquiring mind want to know.

Has the door been opened for players to pick and choose which cricket event they make themselves available? Has the precedence been set and the barn door been fully opened for every West Indies cricketer to use as a thoroughfare?

Did Mr. Joseph's unavailability take coach Daren Sammy by surprise?

What a topsy turvey environment West Indies cricket has become.

......................................

Yagga, have you created a niche for yourself? How can you remain in what imho, is a toxic environment? Are you happy with the progress that West Indies cricket has made under your stewardship?

Questions, questions, questions of which we will never find out.

I wish this is not exaggerated speculation on my part, but perhaps, Mr. Joseph has not fully recovered from the plethora of drop catches against his bowling.

Who can blame him?

Also probably sulking from not getting the new ball on his home ground to which he thinks he was entitled ....btw i heard he was prescribed "happy" pills wondering if they've kicked in cos actually see him smile during the last match!😄

I think he is ggod enough to be trusted with the new ball 😀.

As far as his smiling is concerned, I am happy you saw a once in a lifetime phenomenon. This guys always seems so grumpy to me..

@Courtesy

You think he should have been given the New ball ahead of Roach, Shamar and Seales?

@Courtesy

Mr "Happy"doesn't deserve the new ball....he had a head start on both Shamar & Jayden but they have proved to be the best young bowlers we've had for a long time an their stats bear that out in comparison to Alzarri who admittedly has been better of late (maybe he's finally worked it out) so let's hope he remains on an upward curve ...an potentially we just might have the best pace bowling attack in the world!

"Grumpy" is a required disposition for a fast bowler. Take it out on the batsmen....

@CCW

My take is those 2 are more effective using the new ball, Honey can bowl the older ball better than them.

😀

I concur...except that the grumpiness is ill-directed.

😀😀😀

I can see that you are an eternal optimist.

AJ should be Windies Kagiso Rabada

We see sometimes glimpse of this but the lack of consistency is the defining factor

@Poggy

Nex month will be a decade since Mr. Joseph made his debut. How long are you prepared to wait to see this miracle?

Fri, Jul 24, '26 at 12:44 PM

@Courtesy

We should looked into this years ago.

West Indies is only te in the world that does not utilize resources at their disposal. Why could we use Mikey Holding? He seems to get along with Holding well

or Ambrose or Walsh

Fri, Jul 24, '26 at 12:59 PM

@Poggy

Ambrose worked with him.

There are in my humble opinion some obvious personality traits which hamper his development.

@natty_forever

Thats a reasonable point but if he was to take up the mantle of being leader of the attack after Roach by way of seniority /experience yuh should expect him to have the new cherry which he has had in the past but proven to be wasteful hence his high ave an s/r.....he probably has a higher opinion of himself than his stats suggest thats why he stormed off the field against Sri Lanka when he didnt get the field placings he wanted......he needs to realise ONLY greats like a Marshall or an Ambrose to name but two can demand the field they want....an he ain nowhere near there an never will be!!!
