Tage stays ...yes he's not the most aesthetically pleasing on the eye but if nothing else he will guts it out an blunt the attack(tek de shine off the ball😀) which in theory helps who's to follow ..not saying he's the answer to our prayers indefinitely but for now until better alternatives he stays.....as for King beautiful cover drives alone not good enough i just dnt think he has the mental capacity for test cricket an hasn't been a roaring success in the other formats for that matter but i suspect they will give him a final chance!

@Halliwell

😂

Bing cannot bat and Chandercrawl cannot score

Wed, Jul 29, '26 at 9:25 AM

@CCW

Hard on Tage after his 2nd inning epic, but he will most likely make way for Campbell. Unless, Hodge has a few more failures, then King can go 1 drop while Tage and Campbell open.

@Seechy

King strikes me as somebody caught between 2 stools maybe because of playing in every format an not knowing how to adjust ....they should keep him to the white ball formats cos he's patently not a test batsman . .at least with Tage he knows his limitations an plays within it ....old school crease occupation has its place ....let's not forget at the very beginning of his career his father couldn't hit the ball off the square admittedly he was much younger...Tage goin bruk out an surprise yawl you wait!!😀

Wed, Jul 29, '26 at 9:53 AM

both of them are not scoring runs that is what they are in the team to do personally i can't stand to watch chanderpaul bat

@velo

We all like aesthetically pleasing on the eye batsmen like a Hooper...but would you rather have him or Shiv in ur team if yuh could only select one??....just asking..

@Halliwell

😀

This statement above ranks as one of the most patently FALSE AND INACCURATE statements in the history of this message board.

In addition……Shiv could really bat. Tage cannot bat at all. PERIOD.

Painful to read some of the tata here. In his very 1st test series 18yr old Shiv scored a number of half tons NOT OUT! sometimes too. Not bad for a guy "who could barely hit the ball off the square"

Wed, Jul 29, '26 at 12:29 PM

@CCW

King please. They both have another test match to prove themselves.

@Brerzerk

@imusic

I dunno how old you guys are but i remember clearly an i repeat when Shiv first came on the scene he could hardly hit the ball off the square nevertheless he accumulated in his own unassuming style ....his first 6 half- centuries ave s/r was 38 ...just to put into context Tage s/r in his 2nd inns to which he made 35 was 34.6 so if yuh think that was unsatisfactory yuh have to conclude his dad was only marginally better s/r wise when compiling his 1st half dozen 50's!!!

Seems you are forgetting. His debut test innings of 62 against England included 9 boundaries

King should concentrate on cow-lash cricket, period. He's the cricket aptitude of a 6 year old...
