The wrong anthems have been played at sporting occasions and other events for decades. It happens regularly.

That doesn't stop it being funny.

Why do our leaders feel the need to be so wordy and aloof in their speeches. That apology sounded almost as bad as the playing of the wrong anthem. Like this lady politician on ABS the other day I guess she was in the House of Assembly talking about how some fair would aloow the local vendors to sell their barbeque chicken and johnny cakes it sounded as if she were making a declaration of war.

Does everybody here believe in nonsensical conspiracy theories?

In reply to Chrissy I suspect we will never get access to those bank accounts. Maybe look at lifestyle changes. lol

Everybody breathe

Mitchell done apologise

De Grenadian people done embarassed as it is

I sure dey takin steps to determine what happened and how to prevent it from happenin again in de future.

Grenada followin proper protocol. Respeck to dem.

I sure China over it by now. And if dey not....yuh think dem wastin dem time on exactin revenge on Grenada? Steupes.

If anyting...de Chinese Ambassador mus jes be tellin Mitchell "Keith....doh worry about it. Mistakes happen. Maybe one day, you'll be in a position to do us a favour." And wit dat....one more vote in hip pocket at UN..cool

Enough arready.

This blame ought to lay squarely on the Prime Minister's Office.

A most diplomatic & high profile matter as this ought to have been screened via a 'check list' with the Highest in Command a la the PM's Permanent Secretary ensuring the opening ceremony in order. There he/she would have had to ensure the correct anthem just as the correct seating arrangements.

The PM ought to take blame himself for not checking with his Events Manager on all major points regarding the ceremony.

Nonsense indeed!

I will have to excuse the Police; set of dumbs dumbs dey are all known to be. Imagine they could not even fight a lil wind named Ivan. Chuts!

fer real??? At the risk of sounding braggadosish.
That sort of thing is unlikely to happen in Barbados. We measure twice, cut once. Carpenters Rule. It is embarrasing for the entire region that is a truth. hopefully there has been adequate damage control by the Grenadian Gov.
