Who are the three best bowlers that just played in the tournament, not named Rampaul and Taylor?

sandisha 2017-02-28 09:02:13

In my humble opinion either Rampaul or Taylor should have been there instead of Alzarri Joseph, who is still very young and has not shown that he is ready for the big stage. On the other hand Rahkeem Cornwall, without any doubt should have been on the team instead of Bishoo. Bishoo to me is not an ODI bowler period

From the available pool of players this the best representative squad. No surprises......

I am Muddie, but I support Cornwall for Bishoo for sure!

I know the answer..just wondering why Silver think's there is an unjustified obsession with Joseph.

If Rampaul and Taylor are "ineligible" then Aljo walks into any WI ODI squad.

We have lost Cummins and Dowrich from the initial 15 man squad.

I think the 13 we are left with is a good representative squad...the only selection I would question is Bishoo but I guess the selectors are thinking that he may add variety to the attack as Cornwall (who MUST be a contender for WI colours) is an off-spinner and Nurse is also an off-spinner who will be the preferred option because of his recent good form.

Saying all that, for my final 11 I would sit Bishoo and Carter

This ODI series should be the start of building a squad for the next WC, I don't see Taylor or Rampaul in that squad.

Carlos Brathwaite and Ashley Nurse carrying water for the first ODI?

We have a new HC, so any of the fringe players can be dropped.

I know the 13 selected are the consistent squad from our last tournament which we lost. So I wish our guys well and success as always.

But, our selectors have refused to be proactive and select people who are in form having been through a whole lot of competitive cricket recently.

Bishoo is there because he is a leg spinner and the rest of our spinners turn the bowl the other way and it is a one day match. Therefore, I will not complain about Bishoo who had a horrible tournament and was "man handled" too many times in recent matches.

But, no way on performance does Carter and Carlos Brathwaite deserve to be given a run at this time over Cornwall. Simply not fair. Cornwall would definitely make more runs than the both of them (probably combined). Cornwall would take more wickets and concede less runs than any other bowler in this squad (possibly Gabriel and Joseph might beat Cornwall's consistent figures on their best days).

We are fighting Cornwall down too much and it is simply not fair and it is dumb from a tactical perspective. Let this young man have the opportunity to succeed or fail in this "purple patch" in his career.

Courtney Brown is a jackass, while we commend the consistency of selection..I always mantain there should be a balance between, overall record..and current form.

Your form players should at least be in the squad, but i'm kinda glad Cornwall got that workout against the English.

Definitely one for the future
