The year was characterized by the institutionalization of several developmental initiatives along with a solidifying of a collaborative approach towards the management and development of the game in the region.
Most significantly 2013 was an election year for the West Indies Cricket Board. The Annual General Meeting was held on March 27th in Barbados. At the election, which followed the AGM, then incumbent Vice President Mr. Whycliffe ‘Dave’ Cameron prevailed by a vote of 7-5 over the then incumbent Dr. Julian Hunte for the Presidency of the WICB. Mr. Emmanuel Nathan won the Vice Presidency by a vote of 8-4 over Mr. Joel Garner. Subsequent meetings of the Board of Directors for the year were held in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Jamaica and St Kitts.
