Carty at number 3 is something I would endorse. The young man has character and he generally values his wicket when he bats. If he is given the chance, I hope that they give him the run he deserves because he has shown at international level already, that he can build an innings. I am, like most others probably, concerned about who will open with Kraigg Brathwaite.

Windwards have just completed their victory over the WI Academy, winning by 158 runs.

The Academy fell short of the target set with only Teddy Bishop providing any real resistance with 47.

Windwards 162 & 275
WI Academy 158 & 121 (T.Bishop 47, S.Springer 4/30)

I think that it is back down to McCaskie or Tage, with McCaskie now probably being in front of Tage who may be relegated to reserve opener. Most of us got it wrong when we said that following the horrendous form, McKenzie should not have been picked for Oz. It will be interesting if his Oz performances keep him in the squad when he is so far behind most of the batsmen in this championship.

Yes, just watched his innings now and I do not recall ever seeing him bat so circumspect. He eventually got going and played a few shots and finally has a start, so hopefully, tomorrow, he will kick on and turn it into something really good. When he is in form, he can make a difference and I would like to see somebody who is able to keep the scoreboard moving open with Kraigg Brathwaite.

De umpiring so bad.

I have been scanning games now and then.

I saw Reifer lbw of Powell (Leewards 1st Innings)
Big jook by umpire.

I just saw Sinclair to Mckenzie (Jamaica 2nd innings)
which was plumb but umpire said not out.

WOW.

Sinclair had three close lbw decisions against McKenzie... At least two of them were plumb... De third one was probably umpire call.

They need to test Joel Wilson eyes... Don't think he's seeing properly.

Poor umpiring in our region is reality - the bigger problem in this match is poor fielding by the Yard team.

Perhaps they could try a new concept...and bring in an on field assistant for the umpires...perhaps one with four legs and wags his tail?

lol

Yes Carty for number 3 that should be a certainty.
