If it was there to hit…
When Lara equalled Haydos record chipping down the track and launching it was genius… sometimes it comes off and you look class

Sadly, another bit of brain freeze. He lived by the cross batted shot and died by it.

out Caught by Litton Das!! No hundred for Athanaze either. You live by the sword and you die by it. That preempted paddle has been beneficial to him but he falls to the same shot as well. That was well tossed up and the extra bounce on that delivery didn't help the cause of the batter. Athanaze c Litton Das b Taijul Islam 90(130) [4s-10 6s-1]

I went out and came back to see this..I am dealing with a toothache, and these guys
Louis and Athy just make it unbearably worse.
Feel badly for them tho as they are at the beginning of a career; young, inexperienced
and need guidance along with some tough love especially as they were given 'lives'.
Hope they learn from this. Today was their day to make their 1st Test ton.
Opportunities like these don't come too often.

For a split second 221 for 3 looked like a very good score, with two batsmen in the 90's.
Sigh!

As Nasser Hussain says, add 2 wickets to your score to get a good perspective

A good first day for the home side. They finish in a decent position, especially being inserted against a good attack on the North Sound wicket. If they can muster 350 or even more, that will be a strong position going forward. West Indies should be the happier side tonight.

Da Silva gone. Back and across the line. Technical flaws undoes him again. He must go after this series if he continues to fail.
