He does not play with a straight bat.
Every single miss including the the wicket ball he played around the swinging ball, huge gap between bat and pad
SMH
How that technique got multiple hundreds in first class cricket tells the story

Lol.. as usual some can't help themselves.

Even the greats will struggle to survive against the pink ball in the night.

It was painful to watch...didn't have clue but in fairness it's his debut an batting out of position against the best attack in the world ...an under lights!!

kraigg brathwaite had a gap between bat and pad for the 13 years he assailed west indies cricket. if he could get a rope that long, then anderson has to be given a chance

Come on Jumpy, the kid need another season or two. I have never seen a batsman in test cricket play with such a wide gap. Imlach is way better.

Yea the coward hiding and send the youth to face that.

One thing I would say he earn being there he performed to get there unlike the senior and underachievers that got selected without even playing a 1st class tournament.

dude i saw kraigg as late as this season in the two day fc game versus trinidad driving at an inswinger that took out is middle stump which means his bat was very ar from his body. as i said, anderson deserves some rope

Let me think about this... A debutant is being asked to open the batting—something he’s never done before in first-class cricket. On top of that, it’s a day-night Test, and I wonder if he’s even faced the pink ball before. And to make things even tougher, he’s up against Australia’s fierce bowling attack. I can only assume he was told to do it—because otherwise, why would he?

Probably should have sent a night watchman.

Loius messed up his knee while fielding and Campbell got knock in his collar bone by Smith fielding at short leg!!!

It would also appear that Methodic has injured his brain whilst posting wish all a speedy recovery!!!

He's a far better batsman than what was on show tonight. He will be fine.
