@Chrissy

Wow..The times of Noah..The art of ark building was never attained by Yardies.

But seriously this system seems to have Jamaica's name on it (Holness).At this rate if it becomes reality, it will be more than devastating as it is a slow system and with water flowing from the hills of St.Andrew to the lowland of Kingston and as far as Portmore could experience never before flooding...Marcus Garvey Drive could become part of the Harbour. And to think that the main gully, Sandy Gully was allowed to be overgrown and become land area....

And other low lying places in rural Jamaica could be destroyed with loss of houses too.

Keep the faith and take best care. I am feeling it for the country right now.

Even the weather people here in Philly are talking more about Jamaica's pending problems with flooding and category 3 winds with hardly a mention of Cuba and other places.

Phew...I fear the worst and the aftermath could be more than a nightmare.

I remember a town Newmarket was obliterated in the 70s. Living in Bridgeport I watched a youth rowing down my street, Getz Ave, in a little boat then. But I don't remember it being more than 6 inches of rain in a short time. Where is Noah when we need him ?

Is there too much unholness in the Yard ?

@Chrissy

This is looking like Gilbert's Daddy more than twice over.

The question is , What will Jamaica look like after Tuesday or so ?

With all the developments and improvements by infrastructure, this could be the worst hurricane in Jamaican history as the entire Island will apparently be covered ...A Cat4 or even 3 with anything upwards of 20 inches will be beyond disaster especially as this system looks like it will hang around as a slow mover.

Keep safe as well as your friends/posse //

I shudder to think the damage if this storm doesnt start moving fast and just sits there at 2 mph.
