@Chrissy

Chrissy, I have sent up my petitions and I know they have been received. However this is a once in lifetime event that our Fair Land is about to encounter. I expect communications will be lost but those of us away from the fray are very concerned as immediate damages,loss of life included are hard to contemplate as the aftermath is gonna result in much suffering and rebuilding will be a monstrous task for many months and some places which are many according to the topography with so many low lying areas ,may never recover.

As I said earlier, this one seems to have had Jamaica written on it and it plans to stay around as a long staying tourist with very bad intentions and could be the worst disaster ever comparable to Port Royal 1692 earthquake and the 1907 one in Kingston. Gilbert is a boy compared to what Malicious Melissa is bringing.

May it not be as catastrophic as we envisage.

Stay safe,we beg you all.

@hubert

Sadly I think you are correct.

the worst part is that our current leadership are only good at PR

Mon, Oct 27, '25 at 8:22 AM

@Chrissy

Yes. PR is their forte..Check You Tube with their imaginary programmes for the development of the country..Utter rubbish.They have layouts that do no match Jamaica's landscape . I LMAO so many times that feel bad. And their followers lapping it up and heaping praises on the criminal leader that you would think he is The Coming Savior... Our Fair land has become a joke and only a destination with this

current government. But who can know it ????

@hubert

the real problem for them after this catastrophe will be the massive church posse who will claim dat their wickedness and tiefing caused this.

We are in for a rough 36 hours. Still we won’t face a direct hit in Kingston and St Andrew

@Chrissy

I am feeling trapped in Negril. Yesterday it looked like a Clarendon then today it was my parish, St. Bess now it is at the border with Westmoreland.

@nitro

It's going North West now. The graphic at NHC seems to me anyway to show the centre south of the most western tip of the island.

Mon, Oct 27, '25 at 6:29 PM

@michaelmax

Yeah, the challenge is that here it is showing a turn to the North tonight:

@nitro

I've abandoned Zoom because it seems to be going nowhere. Everything looks the same. So I've gone directly to NHC and Met Office radar. Met Office has gone down with too many requests. The graphic at NHC looked like the centre south if most Western tip as of 5pm. I remember yesterday they were talking about landfall somewhere can't remember but when I looked at where they were showing it would land I had worked out that that was unlikely and the models would have to update. If the NHC graphic having it near the end of the island then the question of WHEN it turns North determines landfall or not and the cone of uncertainty shows a possibility however small of the centre moving just of the West Coast
