@Chrissy

Family is mainly in Kingston, and they're safe.

Waiting to hear from friends, especially those in western Jamaica.

@Brerzerk

Nice. Still waiting to hear from a few relatives in and around Port Maria. Being a town below sea level,it is in peril all the time with Outram River running thru the Town and although the Eastern Parishes escaped

the major wrath from this Terrible hurricane, I am still concerned as damage was everywhere.

Keeping fingers crossed and hope alive.

The good thing is that I have not been hearing of much loss of lives. True blessings this.

I know the rest of us will do our best to help...

I truly hope no one lost any family members

This morning, one of my best friends who lives in the Mango Walk community overlooking Montego Bay airport shared photos and videos of his house and the road outside his gate. It looked like a tornado passed through the area. Debris all over the place, missing house roofs, trees without any leaves, downed trees and downed power lines. My friend and his family spent most of the hurricane in a hallway of his house away from windows.

The way it was sold, I thought the place would be flattened, or is it that Yard is category 5 resistant?

Anyway, we give thanks that it's all over; it could have been worse!

By the way, Yard should have direct Starlink as part of their service offer!

Flow is already seeking an alliance to monopolize the market!

The government should declare a community-wide clean-up day, with all hands on deck, and enforce no price gouging.

@XDFIX

The areas in and around the eye were flattened. Have you seen the videos from Black River and other areas in St. Elizabeth?

Wed, Oct 29, '25 at 1:52 PM

@Walco

Yeah, I watched a few clips, but the devastation is not Gazalike.

Wed, Oct 29, '25 at 4:24 PM

@Walco

parts of Mobay are comp,Emely destroyed. Same with Black River and some other spots. Trailers full,of relief stuff were floating in 16ft of water.

@XDFIX

who needs a pro Nazi, apartheid loving network or are we so compromised?

Wed, Oct 29, '25 at 4:28 PM

@Chrissy

Happy to know you are OK!🙏

@JoeGrine

The worst in St Bess - horrific in parts of Westmoreland, St James (Mobay), Hanover, Trelawny, Manchester, Clarendon. Bad in parts of St Ann, rural St Andrew. And St Catherine. Serious river damage in St Thomas. Portland, St Mary, Kingston and St Andrew were spared the worst.

at least 50 deaths and that might rise as they reach collapsed homes.

oh Sangster Airport mash up bad.

yuh fi see destruction. Pupa. I lost WiFi and cable for a few hours. We had a tropical storm in my neighbourhood. Restaurants and supermarkets are open near me. We dodged this one.

add

Cave Valley - massive flooding on the border with Clarendon.
