The following players have been selected to represent the Red Force for the 2016 edition of the Nagico Super 50 tournament which will be hosted in T&T and St. Kitts during the period January 7-24.

THE Guyana Jaguars is a team which surely doesn’t believe in the individual milestones of players. Rather, its members are focused on integrating well as a team and gelling closely. The premier reason behind their profound success during the first half of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Professional Cricket League (PCL) Regional four-day tournament has been that they have played extremely well as a team. The players have complimented each other well, and by doing their tasks with ease, it has just made life easier for the other members. At least this is what the team captain, Leon Johnson feels. Johnson in an exclusive interview (with Guyana Chronicle)has attributed teamwork and discipline for the team’s success so far.
West Indies Cricket Board’s (WICB) Vice-President Emmanuel Nathan says the WICB is in constant dialogue with the CARICOM Committee on Cricket and are mindful that there is a ‘disconnect’ between the fans and WI Cricket as a result of the poor performances on the field.“We are prepared to make some changes as we did following previous Governance Reports. However, on the basis of a corporate review and legal advice, only the Shareholders of the WICB can dissolve the Company- the WICB. And similarly only shareholders can appoint new Directors to the Board, whether they are independent or shareholders directors,” informed Nathan.The Cabinet in Dominica, headed by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, this year appointed Nathan as Director of the Citizen by Investment Unit, while he is also a Director of the WICB and a member of the Dominica Labour Party.
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has rejected a request from the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB), owners of the Red Force, to allow embattled off-spinner Sunil Narine to take part in the upcoming Nagico Super50 series that will be played in T&T and St Kitts from January 7. Narine has been banned from bowling by the International Cricket Council (ICC), who deemed his bowling action to be illegal. Narine, who bowled this country to the Nagico title this season with figures of six wickets for nine runs, recently failed a test on his bowling action at the Loughborough University testing centre in England.
