I am currently at the ground... stadium almost full already.

Got a decent amount of TKR fans in the stand too..

Based on the warm up so far it looks like there will be at least one change for Warriors.

Iftikar will come in for Hassan Khan.. Shamar shoulder is heavily strapped too so not sure about him.

Warriors won the toss and it looks like they will bowl first.

7:10 pm Not a lot to differentiate between these two teams. They both won one match in the league phase against each other. In their first meeting, the Knight Riders won comfortably by six wickets, but in their second, it was the Warriors' all-rounder Pretorius who took the game away with a last-over thriller. The last five head-to-head stats are also neck and neck, with the Knight Riders winning three and the Warriors winning two. There's a lot at stake in this blockbuster match.

Guyana Amazon Warriors XI: Ben McDermott, Quentin Sampson, Shai Hope (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Moeen Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Dwaine Pretorius, Romario Shepherd, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Imran Tahir (capt),

Trinbago Knight Riders XI: Colin Munro, Alex Hales, Darren Bravo, Keacy Carty, Nicholas Pooran (capt & wk), Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Akeal Hosein, Sunil Narine, Usman Tariq, Saurabh Netravalkar

Imran Tahir: "We want to bat first. It's a big game, and we want to put runs on the board. The pitch looks good, and it's going to be an even game later on. The only thing we see is that it might get a bit slower. [3 days off] We've been training, so we all know it's a big game for us. We've worked really hard to be here in front of the home crowd, and we just want to do as well as we can. [Team changes] Yes, we have two changes. Shamar Joseph is in for Shamarh Brooks, and Iftikhar is in for Hassan Khan. Hassan has a bit of an injury."

Nicholas Pooran: "We're quite happy to bowl first. But honestly, whether we bat first or bowl first, the toss is not in your control. We just have to deal with it. It's a great stat for us. We've won four titles but never outside of Trinidad. That's a motivating factor tonight. Tonight is going to bring a different atmosphere. This is the biggest rivalry in cricket when it comes to the Caribbean. We're looking forward to this opportunity. Same team. No changes."

We were happy to bat first or bowl first but the toss is not in our control. (On having won four titles and all in Trinidad) We are looking forward to changing that tonight. It's the biggest rivalry coming to the Caribbean and we are looking forward to tonight. No changes for us.

Shimron Hetmyer: "[8th Final for the team] I'm trying not to think about it, but from the voices and things that I've seen, it's bigger than I thought and expected it to be. But I'm always up for the challenge. [His Fielding] I think years of practice helps because there was a time where I wasn't that confident in my fielding. And I think that's the reason why it kind of pushed me to go to the boundary, where I realized it's more important to be a good boundary fielder than when you're in the circle. [On the 2023 Final] The victory that we had from that, and just the positivity that we came out with. I think that night when we came out and played, everyone was really up for it. We didn't want to lose to Trinidad, and we didn't want to lose to them at home as well. So I guess that same mindset will come into it again for the guys and for me personally as well, to just come out and make my family proud first and then everyone else. [New Chain with initials] I had one before this one, but this one is actually a new one to add to the one that I had. My wife actually got me the pendant. I've had the chain for a while, but she was like, 'Let me just see if I could do something else.' So she got the pendant, and I guess she did something else. [One Word to Describe the Atmosphere] Electric!"

Pitch Report from Darren Ganga: "The weather is fabulous as usual, and we've enjoyed great conditions. We expect minimal dew, which should be very good for both teams. We're on pitch number three, with dimensions that are pretty equidistant. The square boundaries are 75 meters, and the straight boundary is 75 meters, so there will be no bias at all for the teams to work with. As I look at this surface, I just know that this pitch is going to be great for batting. It's smooth, hard, and even, with little grass. One of the things you have to guard against is misleading information. The narrative here for this leg of the CPL has been spin, with 63 wickets. But look at the difference in the first innings to the second. The second innings has nearly twice the amount of wickets. Don't be fooled by that because batters haven't been able to play the situation and handle scoreboard pressure. The quality of the bowlers will be under the pump tonight. Tonight is the final, and this is the final chapter of the sharpest and shortest story in T20s."
