Got a taste of Samba football from Brazil in Houston. But you couldn’t help but think Brazil dodged the bullet yesterday. That JAPAN team was sensational -a candidate for at least a semifinal spot.

Brazil dominated the first 15 minutes, but after they couldn’t penetrate, they became frustrated and slowly Japan gained the momentum. That team is so skillful and disciplined. They are not losing formation, no matter what happens on the field.

brazil dominated most of the match. They were stunned after the first goal but they dominated the entirety of the 2nd half. Japan barely got out of their box, let alone half. Afrosamurai prevented that scoreline from being 4 or 5-1. Japan were disciplined no doubt and organized, but once we got useless Paqueta off the pitch, it was curtains. Paqueta was so detrimental to the side that because he was giving away so many passes, both Cunha and Vini had to play further out, and as a result had 3-4 defenders on them when they usually only have 1-2. My cousin is married to a Brazilian and she says absolutely no one is sad Paqueta is not fit enough to play against Norway. Not even the Flamengo fans. Dude is useless and talentless. A lot of the sport channels are making an issue about Paqueta’s absence because they don’t want Brazil to progress in this tournament. Bruno G is much more a creative, physically dominant and intelligent midfielder than Paqueta. His absence improves the team
