Leading by 130 runs on first innings, Trinidad and Tobago found
the going tough against the Windwards, succumbing to 160 all out to
set the stage for a thrilling finish at the Queen's Park Oval. The
visitors now need 291 runs to win in two days.
Windies 'B' team bowlers Ryan Austin, Kenroy Williams and Dwight
Washington shared seven wickets as favourites Barbados struggled to
217 all-out after the first day's play.

Despite the best efforts of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) to
hush-hush the reasons for the
shake-up of the squad for the regional first-class competition,
CaribbeanCricket.com has learnt that a fistfight between
all-rounders Lennox Cush and Mahendra Nagamootoo was the catalyst
for the move.
The melee, which also included Nagamootoo's brother Vishal, was
sparked by a quarrel over a seat on the team bus and had to be
broken up by the Mayor of Roseau Cecil Joseph. Nagamootoo and Cush
were both fined half of their match fees (US$200) and dropped from
the team. Inexplicably, Vishal Nagamootoo was not sanctioned even
though he aggressively threatened Cush with a bottle.
The West Indies Under 19 are celebrating their first win on
their brief tour of Sri Lanka before they move on to Bangladesh for
the ICC Under 19 World Cup next month.
Playing in a warm up match ahead of four 'ODIs' against the Sri
Lanka Under 17s at the Moors Sports Club, the West Indies Under 19
won the toss, decided to bat first and posted a reasonable total of
260 for eight off of their allotment of overs.
Guyana's national selectors dropped a bombshell Wednesday when
they omitted West Indies all-rounder and national vice-captain
Mahendra Nagamootoo from the Carib Beer Cup squad. Also axed were
experienced opening batsman Azeemul Haniff, and middle-order
batsmen Lennox Cush and Andre Percival from the squad that played
the three away Carib Beer matches.
In their places come four new caps -- including 16-year-old Leon
Johnson -- in the 13-man squad to face the Leewards Islands in a
Carib Beer fourth round clash starting at the Enmore Community
Centre ground Friday.
