The West Indies Players Association this month announced another victory in its endless series of arbitration wins over the West Indies Cricket Board. Most cricket fans have lost count (and perhaps interest) but the score must be something like 267 to nil at the moment.
What exactly is WIPA’s winning formula though? How is it that the players’ body is able to chalk up victory after arbitration victory over the WICB seemingly at will?

In a media release yesterday, WIPA challenged Sanjeev Datadin, a lawyer representing the Guyana Cricket Board, over threats issued to players who have been called to training by the IMC for the upcoming West Indies Cricket Board Regional four-day tournament.
Barbados left-hander Ryan Hinds has not given up on playing Test cricket again. According to a report in the Barbados Nation newspaper, Hinds said: "Of course, I’m looking to play Test cricket again. Every year, I go out there, I always try to put myself in a position to represent the West Indies." Hinds averages 21.04 in his 15 previous Tests but has amassed 6 630 runs (ave: 39.00) in 116 first-class matches and has taken 222 wickets at 27.29 runs apiece.
