Simmons, Nurse lead Sri Lanka rout

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – Opener Lendl Simmons hit an unbeaten 51 to steer West Indies A to a convincing five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka A in their second T20 cricket match at the Arnos Vale complex on Wednesday.

The Trinidadian smashed a boundary-studded half century as West Indies A responded with 83 for five, off 11.4 overs, chasing 82 posted by the Sri Lankans after they were dismissed in 18.1 overs.

Rain stars at Arnos Vale for 1st T20

Kingstown, St Vincent - After the 2nd 'Test' had been washed out at Arnos Vale, West Indies A and Sri Lanka A returned to the ground on Tuesday in hope that the first Twenty20 would come off.

But things looked bleak from the morning. St Vincent awoke to heavy rainfall that lasted for much of the first half of the day.

India Unchanged For West Indies ODI Tri-Series

India have named an unchanged 15-man squad to travel to the Caribbean to play Sri Lanka and West Indies in a One-Day International tri-series which begins on 28th June.

The selectors have understandably kept faith with the same squad of players that beat Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies to reach the sem-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013

Pomersbach to join the St Lucia Zouks, replaces Shiv.

Caribbean Premier League organisers have announced that Shivnarine Chanderpaul will be unable to play in the inaugural tournament for the St Lucia franchise due to contractual obligations that he has with English county team Derbyshire, opening the door for Aussie batsman Luke Pomersbach to join the St Lucia Zouks.

Chanderpaul signed a contract with CPL, offering himself up for selection but later realised that his commitment to Derbyshire provided for release only if it pertained to West Indies duty.   He subsequently had to withdraw from the tournament.
