Ross Taylor held his nerve in a remarkable last over to hit a six off the penultimate ball before scampering a single off the last to take the St. Lucia Zouks to a thrilling four wicket victory against the Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel in a rain-affected match.
Persistent rain shortened the match to nine overs, but only after the Zouks had won the toss and elected to bowl. The Red Steel scored 90-4 from their overs before the Zouks chased them down off the final delivery.

SCARBOROUGH, Tobago – Windward Islands held their nerve on a final day filled with drama and rain – and were crowned the new Regional Under-17 champions today here.
Their batting, led by Allick Athanaze, set things up and their bowlers formalised a crushing, 207-run victory over Leeward Islands in their final round match at Canaan.
The Windwards topped the standings with 24.9 points and claimed the title for the first time, after Jamaica and hosts Trinidad & Tobago – the two teams ahead of them entering the final set of matches – failed to dip over the finish line on the last day of the tournament which was affected by rain.

In a landmark judgement, the Supreme court of India appointed Lodha panel, on Tuesday, suspended IPL franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for a period of two years in connection with the betting and spot-fixing scandals in the IPL.
The sentencing panel also meted out severe punishments to Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra and banned them for life from all BCCI-related cricket activities. Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra, who were indicted in betting activities during IPL 2013, were said to have brought the game to disrepute in addition to their betting misdemeanors.
The committee also reasoned that the verdict wouldn't particularly affect the players associated with the concerned franchises.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – As part of continued efforts for the public to participate in the series of town-hall meetings, the West Indies Cricket Board will be in St. Lucia and Guyana over the next two weeks.
Fans in those two territories will get the chance to ask questions and make comments about the sport and how the region can merge its efforts to make the cricket industry more viable than it has been.
The town-hall meeting in St. Lucia will take place this coming Friday, July 17, at the Castries City Hall, starting from 6 p.m.
The town-hall meeting in Guyana will take place on Tuesday, July 22, in the Georgetown Cricket Club pavilion at Bourda Oval, starting from 7 p.m.
WICB President Whycliffe “Dave” Cameron and Vice President Emmanuel Nanthan will continue to host the town-hall meetings, which started in Barbados in May and was also staged in Dominica last month.
“We want to re-engage our major stakeholders,” said Cameron. “We want the public to become part of the decision-making and their inputs can prove to be valuable.
“We’re enthusiastic about continuing to use these sessions to listen to concerns and share information about where West Indies cricket is now, our strategic goals for the future and how the fans can impact upon the way we progress.”

Bangladesh have secured their place at the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy after beating South Africa in their second one-day international in Mirpur.
The eight-team event will feature hosts England plus the top seven other teams in the International Cricket Council's ODI rankings on 30 September this year.
The battle for the final place will now be between West Indies and Pakistan.
