Taijul Islam to Joshua Da Silva, out Lbw!! Joshua Da Silva has been trapped in front but he decides to challenge the decision straightaway. Has he got an inside edge? Was the arm delivery from Taijul that kept coming in with the round the wicket angle, Joshua Da Silva was caught in the crease as he tried to punch it down the ground but was late on it. Gets beaten on the inside edge and gets rapped on the pads. UltraEdge shows a clear daylight between bat and ball. Over to ball-tracking and it reveals three reds. It would have crashed into the leg-stump. A 5-fer for Taijul Islam, his third against the Windies in Tests! That's perhaps the final nail in the coffin for the Windies

Wow, the 4-day completion I predicted earlier is shaping into reality.

Of course, much to my chagrin.

Come on Chrissy, do something!

Pathetic batting.

Why is it that West Indies batsmen over the last 10-15 years cant correct their technical game? We make the same mistakes over and over.

Drinks.

Looking like a victory for the tourists, West Indies still 114 runs shy of the target with only three wickets in hand. Roach is 8*, Alzarri Joseph is on 4* and only Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales to come.

Hasan Mahmud to Alzarri Joseph, out Bowled!! Alzarri goes for a big hack across the line and gets knocked over! The ball clips the top of off stump as Hasan Mahmud strikes with his very first delivery of a new spell. Good length ball angled back in, Alzarri looks to slog but misses completely as it sneaks under the bat. Bangladesh just two wickets away now

Umpire Dharmasena takes a long time and eventually raises the finger. Roach reviews.

48.5
Hasan Mahmud to Roach, out Lbw!! Umpire Dharmasena takes a long time and eventually raises the finger. Roach reviews. Sharp nip-backer from outside off, Roach is trapped in the crease as he looks to defend and gets hit high on the pad. His feet are in the air as he's hopping in the crease, expecting the ball to bounce higher from a short of length. But it stays a bit low, jags back past the inside edge and hits the pad. Is it going over the stumps?

Roach lbw b Hasan Mahmud 8(7) [4s-2]

Nahid Rana to Shamar Joseph, out Bowled!! Fittingly it's Nahad Rana who seals the win for Bangladesh! A fiery yorker angled in from around the wicket, Joseph makes room, swings hard but the ball sneaks through and crashes into middle stump

Part of it is also lack of familiarity with the Sabina Park pitch.. There is always bounce and
as the pitch becomes harder and baked spinners will get very good bounce and pace if not
big turn. The Mecca has similar characteristics back in the day.
It is therefore almost a 'sin' to be playing back to bowlers who really spin the ball on a day four pitch. Caution
is the word...
Except for a few batters like Gomes,Lara and Kanhai,Kalli and Fredo ,Lloyd only he Barbadian greats really handled Sabina Park pitches very well, from the
famed Ws, through Sobers,Nurse et al to Greenidge and Haynes and they were prolific.
I doubt Hodge who looked like coping using his feet, Athanaze and Louis were perhaps playing at a Test match pitch at Sabina for the first time.
It can be a challenge.
Hety and Ganganand Singh debuted I think at Bina and they looked virtual novices.
It's a while too that regular FC domestic Tournament games been played there as of olden times and all players
need that experience of playing on different venues throughout the region.
Maybe the Board should reconsider staging FC cricket in only one or two venues in a season.
Some of our batters did not cope well with the extra pace or bounce either. I think getting
hit a few times took some starch out of them.
Anyhow, Bangladesh used the conditions better and deserve their win

Taijul Islam is the Player of the Match for his six wickets and some useful runs across two innings:
"This win was in unfamiliar conditions. Everyone gave a good effort and the boys were dedicated to getting the win.
(The bowling attack now) The pace and spin attack we have, we've been playing well, everyone's in good rhythm, so definitely we can compete against any batting attack."

This is Bangladesh without Shakib, Mushfiqur and Tamim. Also without Najmul Hossain Shanto. Mehidy in just his second Test as captain has pulled off a convincing victory over the hosts. The team is now in a huddle with Taijul Islam leading the conversation.

Bangladesh now have more away wins in West Indies (three) than any other country.
They have two wins in Pakistan and Zimbabwe and one each in New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
