The City of Lauderhill in Florida has commenced a sister city relationship with Falmouth, Jamaica to use the newly constructed stadium in Trelawny to promote cricket in Jamaica and the USA.
The new partnership kicks off with the very first match at the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium on Saturday, September 30 with the first annual Air Jamaica Cup.
Contrary to what some people seem to think, I have no problems with Michael Holding. We have been teammates, friends and colleagues for over thirty years and we have never mistrusted each other.

When I accepted the responsibility of the Presidency of the WICB, I did so in the full knowledge that I would be exposed to public criticism. This has indeed occurred and I expect that this will continue to be the case given the deep emotion which surrounds West Indian cricket.
In the current circumstances there has been disappointment over the cancellation of the Stanford 20/20 Super Series against South Africa and this among other things has led to the resignation of Mr. Michael Holding from the Cricket Committees of the West Indies Cricket Board.
Runako Morton must be wondering what it takes to get into a West Indies final eleven, be it for test matches, or the one-day version of the game.
His continued exclusion from the West Indies recent test and one-day teams cannot be attributed to performance or potential. Call it a cause for concern, and that would be a mild way of putting it.
