Gayle: We're Getting Better

West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle spoke with the media after the team?s training session in Jaipur on Tuesday.

Among other things, the left-hander said the long tour -- which included a tri-nation series in Malaysia and ICC Trophy qualifiers -- helped the team get better and better. "We are playing a lot of cricket and the more cricket we play, the better for us, he said.

Singles Add Up

You have to admit that this ICC Champions Trophy is turning out to be an exciting tournament. This is not just because the West Indies have been winning matches, sweet as that is.

It's been gripping to watch how consistently the teams have been going in and losing clusters of wickets early. The winning teams have been the ones whose middle and lower orders have dug in. It was the difference between Pakistan and South Africa, the latter being in terrible shape at 42 for five and then crossing 200, while Pakistan went relentlessly downhill, never picking themselves up from the 45 for seven they found themselves in.

Bravo Not Guilty of 'Catch' Code Breach

West Indies player Dwayne Bravo has been found not guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during his team's ODI in the ICC Champions Trophy against England in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Bravo was charged with a breach of C1 of the Code, failing to "conduct play within the spirit of the game," with the incident in question his catch to dismiss Michael Yardy. Television replays suggested the ball did not carry to the fielder.

Bucknor Stands in 150th ODI

Today's ICC Champions Trophy clash between India and Australia in Mohali is a massive game for both sides as only one of them can progress to the semi-finals. But for one of the people at the centre of the action the match has a degree of personal significance, whatever the result.

For Jamaican umpire Steve Bucknor, it's his 150th ODI and he becomes only the third official in the history of the game to reach that milestone, following in the footsteps of David Shepherd and Rudi Koertzen.
