Tino Best fired up, has eyes on CWC 2011

Fast bowler Tino Best is delighted to be among the 30 players named by the West Indies Cricket Board in the preliminary squad for the ICC World Cup 2011. The 29-year-old, who is rated as one of the fastest bowlers in the region, said he is quietly confident of making the final 15-man squad to be named next month.

Sarwan and Ramdin back for World Cup

Out of favour senior players Ramnaresh Sarwan and Denesh Ramdin may be back in the West Indies' side as the WICB released a preliminary squad for the ICC World Cup early next year. The 30 man squad will be reduced to 15 before the World Cup starts in the subcontinent early next year.

Notable absences are the pace duo of Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor, both of whom have only recently returned from long term injuries.
