Firstly, the days that my prodigies arrived on earth were the happiest, most interesting days that I have ever had. I was not sure if to shout, cry or laugh. I certainly celebrated. So even if you are single mothers, doing masterful, almost impossible, jobs as both father and mother, or if you are really fathers, if only by biology or idealistically, real male heroes of your offspring: “Happy Father’s Day!” Now, people called what happened at Cardiff “cricket drama.” I think it was plain cricketing stupidity. West Indies cricketers, mostly fathers themselves, must be ruing their lack of timing, lack of game sense even, in that game versus South Africa. They easily had the game in their hands and then just threw it away.

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) - The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) have decided to jointly stage the 2013 players’ awards ceremony. Previously known as the WIPA Awards, the West Indies Annual Awards Function will be organised jointly by WIPA and WICB and held on July 4 in Trinidad, according to WICB director Baldath Mahabir.
“This move by both bodies is welcomed at this time in world cricket,” Mahabir told the Trinidad Guardian newspaper.

BRIDEGTOWN, BARBADOS - After weeks of speculations and hundreds of suggestions via social media, the much-anticipated Caribbean Premier League franchise team names have been announced and their logos revealed.
“We are thrilled with the final team names and the logos; we believe they are reflective of the character and culture of each country and I’m sure each team will live up to their name,” said Damien O’Donohoe, CPL CEO.
