A stylish, classy batsman who will forever be remembered for the last innings he played on the international stage, Seymour Nurse played for West Indies between 1960 and 1969, and in 29 matches showed he was truly a world-class batsman. Many of the game's aficionados still remember him today as the man who made batting look easy

Sarwan: A Test of my Character

West Indies vice captain Ramnaresh Sarwan says he was "surprised and disappointed" at being dropped from the side for the second Test against Pakistan but vows to learn and grow from the experience.

"I see this disappointment as only making me stronger. I have gotten over much worse than this in my life and my career and overcoming this obstacle is not going to be any different for me," the right-hander said in a diary entry.

One of the men nominated for a place in the Sticky Wicket Hall of Fame is Gordon Greenidge – one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game, who was once called "the most complete right-hander" ever to play cricket.
