Bravo weighs in on WIPA/WICB dispute

"Having Bravo back has brought a lot of energy....you have to run and try and catch him when he gets a wicket. It’s just good to have him back."

That was West Indies captain Chris Gayle talking candidly about what Dwayne Bravo’s return to the team has meant. Coach John Dyson echoed similar sentiments, calling him "an entertaining and exciting cricketer." Sidelined when he opted to have surgery performed on an injured left ankle, Bravo expected his lay-off to be maximum six months. However, it has been eight long months since fans saw the 25 year old bowling successfully at the death, or running like a flying jumbo jet after taking a wicket.

Gayle on possible protest: 'This is the right time'

West Indies Captain Chris Gayle wants the ongoing talks between the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to change pace and speed up, much like his innings in the third One Day International against England at Kensington Oval last Friday.  To some, it might appear that the two-day meeting held in Barbados last week was successful in averting further protest action.  But Chris Gayle gave journalists no such guarantee when he addressed them at the Accra Beach Hotel, the day after that dramatic win.

Rampaul recalled to Windies ODI team

The West Indies selectors have named the following players for the third and fourth Digicel One-Day Internationals against England at Kensington Oval on Friday, March 27 and Sunday, March 29.

The team includes fast bowler Ravi Rampaul and opener Dale Richards.  Devon Smith and Darren Powell have been dropped.
