Ganga for captain?
All the talk is about Trinidad and Tobago's strong showing in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament. The WICB has issued a congratulatory note to the side, and The Guardian's David Hopps thinks that the regional side needs to learn from their "spirited run". Swept up in the excitement of it all, Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board president Deryck Murray appears to have wasted little time calling Daren Ganga's promotion to captain of the West Indies, and Tony Cozier seems to be giving the idea credence too.
Gayle: I will be committed to captaincy
Chris Gayle is happy to take on the West Indies captain's role again following an end to the bitter dispute between the players and the West Indies Cricket Board, the opening batsman has said. "If I am asked to do the job I will be committed. It is always honour to captain the West Indies," Gayle told Reuters in an interview. "I am always committed to do it."Support-wise the players have been really good and it shouldn't be a problem. Once I am asked to do it then, definitely."

Exclusive: List of players for WICB retainer contracts
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is set to offer retainer contracts to 35 cricketers in four categories ranging from "A" to "D".
According to a WICB source, the contracts will be for one year and will be offered to several "developmental" players including incumbent captain Floyd Reifer, fast bowler Tino Best and the two Smiths -- Dwayne and Devon.
