Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) chairman of selectors Alec Burns says top T&T and Windies batsman Darren Bravo was excluded from the squad because he didn’t attend training, was not in contact with the selectors and didn’t make himself available.
Several calls to secure a response from Bravo failed when his cellphone went unanswered.
The TTCB issued the Red Force team to the media yesterday, stating that the TTCB executive had accepted the recommendation by the its selction committee, chaired by Burns, to appoint Rayad Emrit and Jason Mohammed as captain and vice-captain respectively.

Mumbai: BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel on Monday said that the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has sent "an apology letter" for the sudden cancellation of India tour by their players after an internal� payment dispute. (ICC to Cancel Players' T20 Deals if They Abandon Tours)
"We have received a letter from WICB a couple of days ago. However there are reports from a reliable source in the BCCI that world's richest cricket body has informally proposed to WICB to part with 50 percent of their imcome earned through revenue sharing of ICC till 2023.

CASTRIES, St.Lucia - There were no surprises in a 13 man Windward Islands squad named to represent the sub-region in the first two round of matches in the Professional Cricket League (PCL) four day tournament which begins on Friday.
Selectors have chosen a squad of seasoned campaigners led by Liam Sebastian which play Jamaica in their opening fixture starting at Sabina Park on Friday.
The squad includes former West Indies batsman Grenadian Devon Smith who scored the most runs , 278, in the just concluded Windward Islands Goodwill series.

The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) says senior West Indies middle-order batsman Marlon Samuels does not qualify to represent the Jamaica Franchise in the new-look West Indies Four-Day Tournament this season.
This is as a result of allegedly violating a JCA selection policy criterion.
Samuels, who was left out of a Jamaica provisional 13-man squad which was named last Thursday for the team's first game against Windward Islands Volcanoes, beginning on Friday at Sabina Park, is to have violated section 1.1 of the JCA's selection policy criteria.
"He (Samuels) is not qualified to represent Jamaica in the upcoming regional first-class tournament," JCA Chief Executive Officer Courtney Francis told The Gleaner.

POTCHEFSTROOM, South Africa (CMC) – Chris Gayle blasted another half-century while Andre Russell suffered the indignity of a first ball ‘duck’, as Lions beat Knights in a thrilling Super Over in the South African Ram Slam T20 League here Sunday.
Sent in at Senwes Park, Lions rattled up 161 for seven off their 20 overs, with the left-handed Gayle scoring exactly 50 off 40 deliveries with eight fours and a six, to follow up his century earlier in the week.
He put on 80 for the first wicket with Alviro Petersen (34) before falling via the run out route in the 10th over.
