PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Trinidad and Tobago Red Force were left facing their second defeat of the new WICB Professional Cricket League after leaders Guyana Jaguar produced a bold batting performance to put them under pressure, on the penultimate day of their fourth round clash here Sunday.
KINGSTOWN, St Vincent, CMC – Rookie left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican nabbed his second five-wicket haul in first class cricket to hand Barbados Pride a solid first innings lead, but West Indies off-spinner Shane Shillingford countered for Windward Islands Volcanoes to leave the fourth round contest on a knife’s edge here Sunday.
At the close of the penultimate day at Arnos Vale, Barbados had stumbled to 93 for five in their second innings, an overall lead of 171 runs.
They were undermined by Shillingford who has taken three for 24 including the wicket of top-scorer Shai Hope who made 34. Trailing by 294 runs on first innings, the hosts crashed to 58 for four at the close at Queen’s Park Oval and require another 236 runs to make Guyana bat again.
Campbell steadies Jamaica after scare
KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Leeward Islands Hurricanes showed glimpses of what they are capable of but it was all a little too late, as Jamaica Franchise closed in on victory in their fourth round encounter of the WICB Professional Cricket League here Sunday.
However, the Leewards created some anxiety in the hosts’ camp, reducing them to 23 for three before opener John Campbell, who finished unbeaten on 63, helped revive the innings in two key partnerships.

Singh has so far faced 176 balls, in 229 minutes and counted 14 boundaries.
He received support from opener Rajindra Chandrika who got 60 and Barbadian all-rounder Raymon Reifer who scored 58.
Shimron Hetmyer chipped in with 31 while left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein led the T&T attack with two for 52.
The right-handed Chase converted his overnight 56 into an unbeaten 120 as Barbados rattled up 352 in their first innings on t backSaturday, in their WICB Professional Cricket League contest.
Captain Carlos Brathwaite added just four to his overnight 25, leaving Chase to shepherd the lower order and push Barbados to a more than respectable score.
KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Seventeen wickets tumbled at Sabina Park here Friday but Jamaica Franchise emerged with the honours on the opening day of their fourth round WICB Professional League clash with the luckless Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
Sent in, the Leewards were bundled out for 103 and Jamaica then recovered from a perilous position of 87 for seven, to reach 165 without further loss at the close.

At the close, however, T&T had already hit back as seamer and captain Rayad Emrit picked off Trevon for Griffith for eight, to leave the Jaguars on 27 for one.
They trail by 171 runs heading into Saturday’s second day.
Chase, Hope steady Pride with 50s
KINGSTOWN, St Vincent, CMC – Rookies Roston Chase and Shai Hope struck half-centuries as Barbados Pride kept Windward Islands Volcanoes in the field for the entire opening day of their fourth round match here Friday.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first in the WICB Professional Cricket League contest, Barbados finished the day on 230 for five, to take the early initiative at Arnos Vale.
Chase was unbeaten on 56 while Hope carved out his maiden first class half-century when he scored exactly 50. Left-handed opener Omar Phillips was going well before he was forced to retire hurt for 38 after being struck in the head.
Captain Carlos Brathwaite was unbeaten on 25 and Jonathan Carter also chipped in with 25.
