The organization representing West Indian cricketers is so upset
with the state of outstanding negotiations with the West Indies
Cricket Board that they can protest as soon as this week-end's
Carib Beer semi final matches.

Is there a cold war raging within the West Indies Cricket
Board?
Ever since WICB President Wes Hall stepped in to overrule team
management's decision to send Marlon Samuels home from India for
breach of discipline it has seemed more and more that the WICB is a
body at war with itself.

Antigua's minister of sports Guy Yearwood has lashed out at the
West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for considering an application
from Bob Woolmer to coach the Caribbean side, describing those
moves as "wicked".
"It is wicked that the West Indies Cricket Board would even
entertain, let alone consider an application from Bob Woolmer to
coach the West Indies cricket team. I have a personal problem with
that," Yearwood said, according to the Antigua Sun newspaper.

With nine days to go before the arrival of the world champion
Australians for their tour of the Caribbean, the West Indies team
is without a captain, coach or manager and a decision on those
appointments won't be made until after a WICB directors' meeting
this Sunday (March 30).
Can someone explain what on earth is going on? The first Test in
Guyana is about three weeks away and the players have no clue who
will be their captain, coach or manager. At this rate, no one
should be surprised when we are crushed by those rampaging,
clinical, professional Australians.
