She grew wings...was flying. Love it.
I told my companions that she would win as USA suffered two
setbacks in previous events and Richardson would not make Gold.

Alfred reigns...lol

I was telling a Saffie friend of mine on Thursday that the biased US media coverage causes people to cheer against the USA athletes

I do nott cheer against US athletes in track. But as a neutral party watching a sport like cycling avidly, I do cheer against the US and Brits.

The British media is the goto for English coverage of cycling. Their insularity drives me nuts!
It goes Brits, Americans, Australians then Kiwi and SA Whites.....just so unnerving.

So I understand the feeling.

They have so much power, does the English and Americans, they shamed Jumbo Visma into racing for a domestic American who went in a break as strategy by the team and his teammates were forced to race for him when they were able to leave him behind and seek their own win in the Tojr of Spain.

That cost my favorite GT rider Primoz Roglic a chance at his 5th win in that race.... a defining opportunity for his career.
It cost Jonas Vingo a definite win....now, after crashing and losing the Tourde France to Pogacar this year, he sits at 2 Grand Tours down on his rival!

I was never more upset about a sport situation as I was then!

Yeah.....root for your Nation, but be mindful that your broad ast is tuned into by multiple English Nations who rely on your coverage.

In the heats it had a man from Tonga run a Personal Best of 12.11

Not sure how he even made it to the Olympics. They should have some minimum qualification standards. Women running faster than he

Quite a few running 11+ seconds too
