Dominican-born Adam Sanford, the first indigenous Carib to get a
West Indies call-up, will make his Test debut against India at
Bourda.
Sanford, who took 41 wickets at 25.19 apiece in eight Busta Cup
matches this year, was included in the final eleven announced for
the opening Test at Bourda. Marlon Black and all-rounder Ryan Hinds
will sit this one out.
The board of directors of the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC),
owners of the CANA news service, has announced the approval of
"interim phased re-organisation plan", under which it will resume
additional Caribbean news and programming services.
The cash-strapped company, which was shut
down in January, said it would continue to provide broadcast
coverage of cricket, the Commonwealth Games and some World Cup
related programming.
