West Indies 'A' team captain Daren Ganga was appointed by the
Trinidad and Tobago?s cricket selectors to lead the country?s team
in the upcoming Red Stripe Bowl tournament in St Lucia from August
14 to September 1.
The right-handed opening batsman is currently leading the regional
?A? team in a series of One-day matches in Toronto against Canada.
And the Trinidad and Tobago team will be without the services of a
specialised coach for the tournament.
I have just found your website and I have to say am very sorry I

follows.
I am a student studying a masters degree at City University in
London. A significant part of this is my dissertation. At the

Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) president, Jackie Hendriks,
last night said his executive would be moving to "rectify"
allowance-related problems that have caused extreme disquiet among
managers, coaches and players involved in the West Indies under-19
tournament, which started here last Thursday.
"We are making contact with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB)
and we will try to rectify the problem as soon as we get word from
them," Hendriks told the Observer last night. This followed word
yesterday that officials of the Caribbean teams were extremely
disturbed on being told by the JCA's CEO, Brian Breese, last Friday
that stipends (allowances) to managers, coaches and players would
be cut by 100 per cent from last year.
Guyana's Lennox Cush turned in a spectacular day's play with
both bat and ball to lead Baltimore Cricket Club to a 22-run win
over Kensington in a showdown of the two top teams in the Washington Cricket League (WCL).
Batting first, Baltimore amassed 254 off their allotted 40 overs
with Cush leading the way with a quickfire 100, a knock that

One month after he was detained and then released by the police,
Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies cricketer Dave Mohammed has
been charged with rape in Grenada.
According to Barry Collymore, co-ordinator of the Shell Cricket
Academy of St George?s University, 22-year-old Mohammed was
formally charged by the Grenada police Thursday.
