Trinidad and Tobago plans to bid to host as many as six ICC
World Cup matches, including the final, when the world's premier
ODI tournament comes to the Caribbean in 2007.
The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board of Control (TTCBC) is
putting together its own local organizing committee to work with
the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to plan for the staging of
World Cup 2007, according to T&T cricket board boss Alloy
Lequay.

reports that the Antigua Police Force had penalised
up-and-coming fast bowler for playing club cricket in Barbados, the
WICB boss held discussions with Sanford's employers and
straightened out the issue.

manager of the West Indies team.
Despite assurances from the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB)
that Skerritt's application for contract renewal would be given
equal treatment, there are moves afoot to give the job to chief
operations officer Michael Hall.

Antiguan cricketer Mali Richards left the Caribbean this week to
take up a cricket contract with the Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club in
Australia.
Mali, son of West Indies chief selector Viv Richards, said he
would use the Australia trip to "learn and develop" his game. "I
know that I will be judged according to what my dad has
accomplished and while I recognise his vast achievements, I am
confident in my abilities and I am ready to accept the challenges
that lay ahead," the left-hander said.
