West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) vice-president Dave Cameron said yesterday former Commonwealth secretary general Sir Sridath Ramphal was not dealing with the matters he was called to mediate on in the dispute between the WICB and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA).
According to a Trinidad Express report, Cameron also claimed that Ramphal had breached one of the conditions of the mediation process by speaking to the media about the way negotiations were going between the two feuding parties, before the mediation process broke down completely Tuesday in Barbados

The following report by Caricom-appointed mediator Sir Shridath Ramphal was sent to President Bharrat Jagdeo to explain the end of the mediation between WICB and WIPA:
After more than a month of strenuous effort I must regretfully report that the Mediation Process authorized by the Agreement of 21 July between the West Indies Cricket Board and the West Indies Players Association has failed to produce agreement between the Parties on the way forward for West Indies cricket.
