West Indies skipper Carl Hooper says he will remember the
Jamshedpur venue in India for both right and wrong reasons but
despite the controversy over the crowd behaviour, Hooper said he
was in favour of restarting the game after the long delay in the
first match.
In his first-person column for the Press Trust of India (PTI),
Hooper said he accepted Saurav Ganguly's offer to go back to the
field "because I would have a result on the field rather than in a
drawing room."

Ranking the West Indies among the favourites to win the
forthcoming World Cup in South Africa early next year, team
selector Gordon Greenidge said the current team was striking the
right balance with openers providing solidity upfront.
"No one should rule out the West Indies which can always bounce
back to be world beaters... we have done it in the past and I will
not be surprised if we do it again", the veteran opener Greenidge
told the UNI news agency in India.

centurion Chris Gayle after he led his side to their second
consecutive win against India on Saturday to put them 2-0 up in the

to guide West Indies to a seven-wicket win, the tourists reaching

Essequibo was left tottering at 38 for eight in their first
innings at the close of play of an eventful second day of their
second round Banks Malta Inter-county four-day encounter against
Demerara at the Hampton Court ground Friday.
Brilliant bowling by the pacy Colin Stuart, who has so far captured
an amazing five wickets for four runs, coupled with a poor batting
display, have left the homesters with the daunting task of scoring
another 138 runs to avoid the follow-on when play resumes on the
third day today.

UPDATE:
West Indian captain Carl Hooper is in doubt for the second ODI
against India on Saturday with a knee problem.
The complaint kept him out of practice on Friday morning and a
decision will be made on game day. "The final decision about
Hooper's playing the game will be left to the skipper himself,"
team manager Ricky Skerritt said.
