Taylor lands three year deal with Gloucestershire

Jamaica and West Indies pacer Jerome Taylor has signed a 3 year deal with English County club  Gloucestershire. 35 year old Taylor will be available for the west country side in all formats in 2020. 
Gloucestershire will be the his fourth county, having previously played for  Leicestershire, Sussex and Somerset.

Taylor will initially join Gloucestershire as a Kolpak player, with the possibility of becoming an overseas player at a later date, depending on the impact Brexit has on the Kolpak ruling. Gloucestershire’s head coach Richard Dawson described Taylor as an exciting player noting he will add  pace and international experience to their  bowling attack.

Hetmyer in Guyana Jaguars squad for fifth round clash

Batsman Shimron Hetmyer has been included in Guyana Jaguars squad for the fifth round West Indies Four-day Championship clash against Windward Islands Volcanoes, starting Thursday (February 13) in St. George’s, Grenada.

The squad departed Guyana on Monday, but without Hetmyer, who is expected to travel on Tuesday. It is understood the left-hander had some issues with a particular travel document.

Hetmyer, who was overlooked for the West Indies upcoming ODI Series against Sri Lanka for failing to meet the new minimum fitness standard outlined by Cricket West Indies, has replaced wicketkeeper/batsman Tevin Imlach in the Jaguars set-up.

MOHAMMED AND DOTTIN SHINE AS WEST INDIES WOMEN DEFEAT PAKISTAN WOMEN BY SIX WICKETS

QUEENSLAND, Australia- Anisa Mohammed with the ball and Deandra Dottin with the bat ensured the West Indies Women a 6-wicket victory over Pakistan Women in the first of three unofficial practice matches ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Winning the toss and batting first, Stafanie Taylor and her team had the Pakistanis in early trouble as the wickets started tumbling in the second over. The first ball of Chinelle Henry’s over saw Muneeba Khan trapped LBW, Javeria Khan became Chinelle’s second wicket, caught at slip by Hayley Matthews.

Shamilia Connell, retuning to international cricket after an injury layoff picked up the wicket of Omaima Sohail for 0. Pakistan captain Bisma Maroof was brilliantly runout by Afy Fletcher for 10 leaving Pakistan on 21/4. A quick-scoring cameo from Nida Dar took Pakistan to 41 before Hayley Matthews had her caught by Anisa Mohammed. Anisa then turned assassin with the ball, bagging the wickets of Sidra Nawaz and Aiman Anwar.
