The morning games at the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will welcome thousands of young people this summer. There will be giveaways and entertainment at the matches starting at 10am in Saint Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana.
CPL will also be working with government agencies, schools, cricket clubs, youth organisations and foundations to give away thousands of tickets to young people across the Caribbean.
With giveaways and entertainment, the 10am games at this year’s CPL are set to become the biggest kids party in sport with thousands of younger age groups in attendance. Also partnering with CPL are Guardian Life who will also be supporting this wide-ranging initiative with further ticket giveaways with the Guardian Life Boundary Buddies scheme.

WEST Indies T20 and 50-over coach Daren Sammy is asking for patience as a "cultural change" is needed to see a turnaround in results.
Sammy was speaking after West Indies defeated India by eight wickets in Florida to seal the five-match T20 series 3-2. It was just one of few bright sparks for West Indies cricket over the past year as results have been tough to come by. West Indies sunk to an all-time low last month, failing to qualify for the ICC World Cup 50-Over tournament for the first time in history.
"Obviously myself and (Test coach Andre) Coley just got to the job. This is a lot of work," Sammy said. "We've had meetings with the president (Dr Kishore Shallow), the new director (Miles Bascombe), the CEO (Johnny Grave) on how we could impact change – not only the players, but the system in general.
"Having better facilities for the guys to train, the preparation, the attitude towards fitness...too many times guys are on the physio table (injured). All of this is the culture shift we need to see happen."
WEST Indies T20 captain Rovman Powell dedicated Sunday's 3-2 T20 International series win over India to the fans, lifting spirits after many lows in West Indies cricket over the past year.
The regional team embarrassingly failed to qualify for the 2023 ICC World Cup 50-over tournament for the first time, and also did not advance to the main draw of the 2022 T20 World Cup.
But fans were left jubilant on Sunday as blazing knocks from opener Brandon King (85 not out) and Nicholas Pooran (47) helped West Indies clinch the five-match series, at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
Earlier, the hosts, led by the impressive Romario Shepherd, put in a strong bowling performance to restrict India to 165 or nine. The batsmen then put India to the sword to prevail comfortably by eight wickets, with two overs to spare.
Powell said, "It is difficult to put words to it. Adjectives are inadequate in describing how we feel. The guys are elated, it is a big series. You mentioned all the stuff that is going on in West Indies cricket so it is a very big series for us to beat India at home.
New penalties for slow over rates have been introduced for the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) ahead of the 2023 season.
As is customary in the T20 format, each team will have 85 mins to bowl their overs, but this will be monitored more closely at this year’s tournament. The fielding side is expected to have completed the 17th over of the innings after 72’15, the 18th by 76’30 and the 19th by 80’45. Over rates will be monitored by the third umpire and communicated to the captains via on-field umpires at the end of every over, as well as to the crowd and TV audience, with graphics showing how far they are behind (or ahead of) the over rate. Dispensations will be given for injuries, DRS and time-wasting by batting side where appropriate.
